Black Tan Italian Leather Eyewear Snap Case
The Eyewear Snap Case is a structured case handmade from embossed Italian bovine leather and fully lined in French chèvre.
Developed using traditional fine leatherworking techniques, the exterior is cut from a firm textured Italian leather selected to provide structure and protection while maintaining a relatively slim profile. The interior is completely lined in French goatskin, creating a smooth surface around the eyewear and adding a contrasting layer of color and texture.
The case is constructed and saddle stitched by hand, with a shaped envelope-style flap secured by a single metal snap. The curved opening allows eyewear to be easily removed while keeping the silhouette clean and compact.
Handmade in San Francisco.

ABOUT THE EXTERIOR
The exterior is constructed from Italian bovine leather embossed with a pronounced shark-grain texture.
Selected for its firmer temper and ability to retain structure, the leather gives the case its defined shape while remaining compact enough for everyday carry. The embossed surface adds depth and variation to the otherwise minimal construction, emphasizing the form without additional detailing.
ABOUT THE LINING
The interior is fully lined in Chèvre Sully from Alran, a French tannery specializing in goatskin leather.
Sully is characterized by its fine, uniform grain, strength and refined surface character, making it particularly well suited to small leather goods and detailed leatherwork.
For the Eyewear Snap Case, the chèvre is used throughout the interior, creating a completely finished surface with no exposed flesh side.
ABOUT HARDWARE
We primarily use solid brass hardware, selected for its strength, durability and resistance to corrosion. Where specified, black hardware is finished using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), creating a durable surface finish while retaining the weight and character of solid brass beneath.
Like the leather itself, hardware will evolve through use. Black finishes may gradually soften or wear at points of frequent contact, revealing subtle traces of the underlying brass and developing a patina individual to each piece.
Variations and signs of wear are considered a natural part of the material’s evolution.
NATURAL VARIATION
Natural variation is an inherent part of the materials we work with. Grain, texture, color, markings, and surface character will vary from piece to piece, making each object subtly unique.
These variations are not considered imperfections or defects, but part of the individual character of the material.
